Current official operating-system requirement
Steam and Epic Games Store both list 64-bit Windows 11 as the minimum operating system. Their current requirements also agree on 16 GB of memory, DirectX 12, 45 GB of available storage, and an SSD or NVMe drive. Because Windows 10 is absent from both current store requirements, it is not part of the official supported minimum. This is the practical answer for purchase planning.
What the listing does not prove
An official minimum is a support statement, not a laboratory test of every older computer. The evidence does not prove that every Windows 10 machine will fail to start, and it does not confirm that any successful launch will remain stable or supported. No cross-checked official source promises Windows 10 compatibility. Player anecdotes alone would not change the published minimum.
Why older pages may disagree
An older cached requirement reportedly mentioned Windows 10, while the current official pages name Windows 11. Store requirements can be revised during development and around launch. Use the current Steam and Epic listings when deciding whether a PC meets supported requirements. Not yet confirmed: an official Windows 10 compatibility mode or future support update.
